Almost everything here is made by hand to order. Nothing is mass-produced and very little sits finished on a shelf.

You will be told which applies to your order after it is placed. If a piece will take longer than stated, you will hear from us before we start.

The rate is chosen at checkout and added to your total. Delivery usually takes 3–10 working days inside the EU and 7–21 elsewhere, after the making time above.

Orders outside the EU may attract import duty or tax on arrival. That is set by your own country and paid by you, not by us. The customs declaration always states the real price paid.

If you bought as a consumer in the EU, you may return a piece within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.

To start a return, write to studio@ursuuna.com (or Telegram @ruuaina) within those 14 days, with your name and the piece. Send it back unused, in the condition it arrived, within 14 days of telling us.

Return shipping is yours to arrange and pay. We refund the price of the piece and the standard shipping we charged, to your original payment method, within 14 days of your message; we may hold the refund until the piece has reached us or you have shown us that it was sent.

The only exception is a piece made to your own specification or clearly personalised for you and agreed with you individually before it is made, such as a commission (§ 1837(d) of the Czech Civil Code). Standard catalogue pieces keep the full 14-day right, even though each is made by hand after you order.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect pieces are a separate matter and are not limited to these 14 days: the statutory two-year warranty applies, we cover the return shipping, and we repair, replace or refund. Tell us as soon as you notice. Handmade pieces carry the marks of being handmade; that is not a fault.

If we cannot agree, you may take the matter to Česká obchodní inspekce at adr.coi.cz, which handles consumer disputes out of court, free of charge.

Pieces with “Mammoth” in their name use fossil mammoth ivory or tusk recovered from Arctic permafrost — never elephant ivory. Mammoth is an extinct species and is not covered by CITES, but several countries restrict ivory of any kind on import because it is difficult to distinguish at a border.

If you are ordering one of these from outside the EU, write to us first and we will confirm whether it can be sent to you before you pay.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout and never reach this website. Prices and checkout are in euros. If your card uses another currency, your bank or card issuer may apply its own conversion rate; URSUUNA does not add an Adaptive Pricing conversion surcharge.

The seller named above is the data controller. We collect only what an order needs: your name, email, delivery address and phone number, plus your email if you subscribe to the newsletter.

Payment data is processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, which acts as an independent controller; we never see your card number. Newsletter subscriptions are held by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), acting as our processor. The site is served by Vercel, which logs requests for security and performance.

The newsletter. Joining is entirely optional and never a condition of buying. We ask only for your email address, and we use it to send occasional letters about new pieces, private releases and exhibitions — nothing else, and never sold or shared. Every subscription is confirmed by a link we email you, so nobody can be added without acting themselves. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also just ask us. Buying something does not put you on the list.

Order records are kept as long as Czech accounting law requires. You may ask for a copy of your data, its correction, or its deletion where no legal duty requires us to keep it — write to studio@ursuuna.com. You may also complain to Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).

Google Analytics is not loaded until you choose Allow analytics. If you allow it, Google receives page-view and campaign-link information and which pieces are viewed, added to the basket and ordered — the piece, its price and the order value, never your name, address or payment details. We may use these figures, in aggregate, to measure our Google advertising. The Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) is loaded only if you choose Allow all: it sets advertising cookies and tells Meta which pages and pieces you view, add to the basket and take to checkout, so we can measure and improve our Instagram and Facebook advertising. If you allowed it, our server may also report a completed order to Meta — the pieces, the order value, your country and the Meta cookie identifiers, never your name, email, address or payment details. You can continue without analytics or advertising, and change your choice at any time under Cookie preferences at the foot of every page. Your basket is kept in your own browser’s local storage and is never sent to us until you check out.
