Inspired by ancestral Arctic snow goggles and their protective function. The square, shield-like form surrounds narrow horizontal slits, designed to reduce intense reflected light from snow.

- Material
- Hand-carved fossil mammoth ivory set in a brass frame, finished with leather details. The mammoth tusk comes from the permafrost of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), where it has been preserved in the frozen ground for tens of thousands of years. As the ground naturally thaws and erodes during the Arctic summer, ancient tusks can become exposed and recovered from the land.

- Each piece is individually shaped, carved and finished by hand. Natural variations, color and traces within the mammoth ivory make every pair unique.

- Fully functional Arctic snow goggles, suitable for extreme winter conditions down to −60°C / −76°F. The square silhouette creates a protective shield around the eyes, while the narrow horizontal slits control reflected light from snow.
Protection is at the center of this piece. An ancestral form reinterpreted through mammoth ivory and brass — bringing together Arctic function, material from my homeland and a contemporary warrior-like silhouette. Limited Drop Part of Mammoth Eyes, a limited series of five individually handcrafted pieces. Each pair has its own form and details and will not be reproduced in exactly the same way.
Each piece comes in its own handcrafted leather case with the URSUUNA logo, made to protect and preserve the piece as a limited artifact.
